The journey’s starting, so let’s go

Every time life gets crazy, and even when it’s calm, I’m telling my husband we should just go — we should leave the hustle and bustle of the city and focus on traveling, focus on our babies, focus on family, and art and living. One specific Tuesday night, my husband agreed. “Really?” I turned off the food processor and looked at him. “Let’s go,” he said. I wiped my hands on the sticky apron and hugged him. “Let’s go then,” I whispered into his shirt. This was three weeks ago, and it was the last calm moment we had. Avignon. We picked a city to land in, near the place I grew up. The weather was similar to Los Angeles’. And then there was wine. So either way, we’d be fine. We’ll travel for a while; just the four of us. In three short weeks, our journey begins. In this blog, I’ll document our travel, the food we’ll cook and eat, and the gems we’ll find along the way. I know it will be hard, but I’ll try to stay focused on the journey, and not the destination. Thanks for joining and enjoy the ride!
